Have you ever wanted to get strong, feel confident and have fun with weight training but didn’t know where to start? This January I have just the thing for you. Read on to learn more about First Reps…
Join the Squatbot Squad with First Reps – that’s 31 days of easy-to-follow strength training tips on my Instagram plus an ebook for you to download and keep, to get you strong, confident, and enjoying lifting weights.
Why should I do strength training?
You might think strength training isn’t for someone like you – that it’s for athletes, bodybuilders, and CrossFitters – but strength training is highly beneficial for everyone. As well as getting you stronger and fitter, strength training helps maintain muscle mass, which sadly starts to decline as we hit around 30. It can delay the onset of osteoporosis, improves coordination, and releases endorphins, making you feel great after a session. The act of setting, working towards, and hitting strength training goals can also do wonders for your self esteem.
What do the 31 tips cover?
Before shooting and filming this campaign, I sat down and wracked my brain to think of all the things I was nervous about before I started weight training, and I also crowdsourced to find out what everyone else was daunted by. The queries ranged from how much a barbell weighs and how to put clips on, to whether you should always lift more each session – even confidence around going into the weights room. I’ve answered each question and these will be posted on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter each day of January to inspire you to get strength training for 2019 and the rest of your life.
What does the ebook cover?
The ebook covers how to squat, bench and deadlift in detail, how many repetitions and sets of each you should be doing dependant on your goals, along with a couple of accessory exercises you should learn – and it’s completely FREE! You can download the Squatbot First Reps ebook here.
How else can I get involved?
Come join my private Facebook group, The Squatbot Squad, to ask any more questions you might have or share tips of your own. If you’re in Manchester, come in to my Heald Green gym for your free Personal Training consult, or sign up for online training here. I’ve worked super hard on this campaign: writing, shooting, videoing all of the content; making it available for FREE for you all, so I would LOVE for you to follow me on Instagram to keep up with the tips, then hit this link to download your ebook. You can also share your strength journey and join the Squatbot Squad community by using #SBFirstReps on all of your strength training posts this January – maybe you could share some of your own weight lifting tips.
However you get involved, I really hope you find all of this valuable and that this is information that sticks with you for life. Let’s all get strong, feel confident, and have some fun in the weights room!
